Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by technology, taking things apart and putting them back together again. In primary school, I was the go-to 'IT guy,' fixing BBC computers and dot matrix printers for my teachers.
I've been fortunate to have a broad and varied career in technology. I started out as a software engineer at McLaren Formula 1, then worked my way up to technical director at a managed service provider. After that, I headed up sales engineering for a large IT service management platform. My first CTO role was at a world-leading edtech company.
Over the years, I've built helpdesk platforms, communication software, and world-first augmented reality apps. I've also forged partnerships with Apple and Google.
It's been over seven years since I became a CTO, and over four years since I became a founder. In that time, I've learned what it takes to be successful in both roles. Now, I want to pass on that knowledge and help others achieve their goals of becoming CTOs.
Today, I'm the co-founder and CTO of Collctiv, a company that helps organizers around the world collect and spend money on behalf of their family, friends, and colleagues.
